Curl - Internet data grabber

Curl is a command line tool for transferring files with URL syntax,
supporting FTP, FTPS, HTTP, HTTPS, GOPHER, TELNET, DICT, FILE and LDAP.
Curl supports HTTPS certificates, HTTP POST, HTTP PUT, FTP uploading,
kerberos, HTTP form based upload, proxies, cookies, user+password
authentication, file transfer resume, http proxy tunneling and a busload
of other useful tricks.

VB5 Control Creation Edition - Free version of VB5 for creating Active X controls

You can also use it as an IDE for writing VBScript by placing the command
DEFVAR A-Z
At the start to define all your variables as variants (tip from jim_w)

Expresso Regular Expression tester - a cool tool for testing your regular expressions

Dependancy Walker - Dependency Walker is a free utility that scans any 32-bit or 64-bit Windows module (exe, dll, ocx, sys, etc.) and builds a hierarchical tree diagram of all dependent modules.

MultiRes - Utility to change screen resolution from command line

MultiRes (50kb) is a 32-bit alternative to QuickRes, which adds refresh rate and
multi- monitor support, as well as optional timed confirmation prompts. The
little utility supports Windows 9x/Me/NT4, as well as Windows 2000 and XP

It's available at http://168.144.101.149/files/multires.exe (Entech Taiwan), and
can be used to set screen resolution, color depth, and refresh rate. Normally it
runs with an icon in the notification area. But it's also possible to run it in
non-resident command mode in a batch file. There's more info in that at
http://www.entechtaiwan.com/multires.htm

AutoIT - a simple tool that can simulate key presses, mouse movements and window commands (maximize, minimize, wait for, etc.) in order to automate any windows based task.

Works much better than WSH's SendKeys. It includes an ActiveX control version of AutoIt called AutoItX.  This is a stand alone control that can be used to great effect under other scripting languages such as WSH/VBScript.
See the AutoIt WEB Site for more information.

Folder.htt - This is a custom folder view for folders that contain Windows Script files.

Requires Windows 98, W2K or Active Desktop update (I.E. 4 +)
Installation instructions:
  1. Right-click inside a folder and select "Customise this folder".
  2. Step through the wizard selecting the Standard Template and check the "I want to edit this template" box.
  3. Copy the contents of this download into the Folder.htt file opened by the wizard
  4. Close the notepad window and say yes to Save.
Expect to see an ActiveX warning message each time you open the folder (small pain for great features).
If you don't see "Customise this folder" then you may have to set the folder options to "View as a WEB page".

XTWare - FileNotify - This Windows NT service propose you to launch a script when a file or a directory is modified

FileNotify is a Windows NT 4.0/3.51/2000 service that works on Server and Workstation.
