About VU:

Our Mission:

The mission of the Veterans for Unification is to save the V.A. Hospital System and to restore quality care and benefits for all Veterans. We are not radicals, but your brothers and sisters in arms, so to speak. Do not listen to your Veteran Service Organization local Commanders. Do not listen to your VSO's at Hines, if they are telling you that we are a radical group. This is the VA line and the veteran service organizations receive benefits under U.S. Code; Title 38: Section 5 for their support of VA. Ever wonder why your case for disability extended into years? This is not a Republican or Democratic issue, but a VETERANS' ISSUE! The freebees in Section 5 need to be given to the service organizations, independent of the VA and no-strings-attached! Local Commanders should stay out of politics, if they are going to bring politics to their meetings. Under their government charters, they are not alowed to do this, but WE ARE and so is every other grass roots organization! Do not fear the government, for it is you, who are the government...you are not afraid of yourselves, are you? The Inspector General and the Government Accounting Organization will entertain your complaints and we will be your mouthpiece. COME AND JOIN US AT OUR NEXT MEETING!

Let AMERICA not forget those who served her...let the VA not forget those who it is supposed to serve!

Our Message:

  • We are a grassroots organization. We are defenders against the assault on Veterans' healthcare. We are currently working to save the VA Hospital System in the Chicago area. We are serious; we are active. Join our group. Make things happen!

  • Despite "The Promise," VA Healthcare is not free! We must earn it . Help us become a peaceful, yet resolute force. In our organization, we take the need for "Saving Private Ryan" literally.

  • Thank you for your support!

  • To join: e-mail: jjborgvets1@hotmail.com or phone/fax: John Borg at (phone/fax) 773-586-4432.
