Ull Mor CCE, the Manhattan branch of Comhaltas, is pleased to announce a new weekly session every Tuesday at 9pm in Kevin St. James Pub and Restaurant, 741 Eighth Avenue (46th St.), starting on Tuesday November 19, music by Niall O'Leary and guest, all musicians welcome! The session will incorporate some old standards as well as some easy-to-play but less well-known tunes, so everyone is encouraged to participate! Free admission!

5-string banjoplayer Tom Hanway runs an early session at The Baggot Inn
on 3rd Street, near The Blue Note. They usually begin about 8:30pm.
If you are willing to stay up late it is worth checking out Mona's on
Avenue B, just below 14th Street. That session is usually led by Patrick Ourceau
and Eammon O'Leary. They don't get going until after 11pm and have been known

Boston
The Burren has great music every night, there's a session even on Christmas and New ars's eves! But the pub is crowded and many nights noisy. It's a must-visit-Mecca but be advised of the noise level. Davis Sq., Somerville, about 2 miles from Harvard.
*Monday nights The Burren has set dance classes, whilst The Green Briar (in Brighton Center, on Washington St, near St Elsewhere's, er, St Elizabeths Hospital) has a beginner's session at 7:00 and the main shindig (refer to Mr. Coogan for definition of the term "shindig") at 9:00pm. That's Larry Reynold's session and is very much worth it (I've been going for 25 years, and I'm not dumb). Lot's of Auld Fellars. * Kitty O'Shea's downtown on State Street (across from the 30-story 19th century Customs House clocktower, can't miss it). I play there Saturday evenings 5-8 with Shannon Aaron and Fergus Keane of Lisdoonvarna. Call them for a schedule, as there's a good session there most nights. If you're in town, you should get hold of a copy of the (naturally) green-print newsprint magazine "The Irish Emigrant" which, among many things, lists that week's sessions and the "seed" musicians for the same; it's a long list. Think of Boston as a festival that never ends. Keep thinking of that while you try to circumnavigate The Big Dig. Go Red Sox. " ---pgm " ---pgm
North Falmouth
"We are a group of musicians who come together to play fiddle tunes
and other acoustic music. Our goal is to play music with other people
and to promote acoustic music. Anyone is welcome to join us - either for
our monthly jam sessions or when we perform at local festivities.
We have put on three Cape Cod Fiddle and Violin contests.
We have an afternoon jam session on the 4th Sunday of the month
in North Falmouth, but occasionally it is called off or moved,
