Psychic Counselor Jim Hecker has dedicated his life to helping others see a more focused future for themselves through improved self awareness. Jim's approach is to incorporate healing and understanding through the use of psychic energy, meditation, and his advanced skill in interpreting the ancient Tarot.

Jim has been listed in Pocket Books "The 100 Top Psychics in America" by Paulette Cooper. He has also been quoted in "Time Magazine's" 1997 Man of the Year issue on predictions about future advances in medical technology. Through his continual radio and television appearances, public speaking engagements, and counseling sessions, Jim helps others feel more comfortable through self awareness, and what may lie ahead in their own lives.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Jim's quest of Metaphysics began during his tour in the United States Armed Forces, as a Combat Medic. While continuing his education, Jim worked primarily in stateside mental health facilities as a psychiatric technician. A few years later, after a chance meeting with a New Orleans Police Captain, John Marie, Jim was able to apply his gifts through the media to help more of humankind. Capt. Marie hosted a 2 hour evening radio talk show in New Orleans. Jim was invited on the show as a guest and questioned on-air about past police cases that had no conclusion. His immediate visions of these past events and his amazing sense of knowledge of these cases prompted further requests for his assistance with active homicide cases, as well.

Resulting in a pronounced response from the listening and viewing public, Jim was asked to appear more frequently and soon developed his own syndicated radio program after moving to the Carolinas. For 10 years Jim has hosted his own 2-hour radio call-in talk show on Wilmington, North Carolinas’ News-Talk-Radio 980 AM the WAAV. People locally, and from states outside the calling area have participated and received astonishing information, via the live call-in show. Jims' gifts have not only brought forth invitations to do seminars and psychic consultations across the United States, but in other countries as well. Jim travels frequently and is continually asked to lecture on Spiritual beliefs, and improving individual self awareness. He has now worked on several National cases such as the Susan Smith case from Union City, S.C. (The drowning of her 2 young children). Jim has also participated in one of the first DNA cases in the country in which genetic finger printing was introduced.

Jim has also written and produced a CD and cassette tape "Road to Meditation" designed to instruct, guide, and teach the techniques of meditation. Jim is currently working on his book "The Soul Mechanic" as a guide and tool to teach individuals about their own potential.
