http://www.earthriseinstitute.org -

As you may recall, Alan Hale (of Hale-Bopp fame) was a classmate of mine at USNA. I thought you might be interested to know about the non-profit organization he recently created called Earthrise Institute. Among other things, their mission is to:

"Develop a worldwide globally-interconnected network of astronomical facilities, each of which will contain several telescopes that are suitable for research and educational purposes. We ultimately plan to have these telescopes accessible for usage both remotely and 'on site.' "

Here's the web site in case you want to let others in EAAA know about it: http://www.earthriseinstitute.org
