Elizabeth "Libby" Chase
I am an enrolled member of The Confederated Tribes of the Warm Spring Reservation of Oregon. I am a descendant of the Wasco, Warm Springs, Yakama, and Hoopa Tribes.
For approximately 15 years I worked for our local mercantile as a clerk, bookkeeper and postal clerk. I became a buyer for the Confederated Tribes in February of 1984. I held that position until May 1992, at which time I was transferred over to Budgets and worked as a Budget Analyst for three years. In June 1995 I became the Purchasing/Contracting Manager, which oversees the Purchasing, Property, Warehouse and Contracting Departments.
My four children are my most significant achievements. I have a married daughter named Saphronia Katchia, and three sons, Jake Coochise, Frank Reese Jr., and Jesse Reese.
I am a product of Boarding School education. I attended Chilocco Indian School for four years in Oklahoma. I attended Brigham Young University for a couple of years. My interests are staying physically active by participating in bowling, golf, and softball with my family and friends.
I take special pride in being considered one of the Association's co-founders and in having had the pleasure and opportunity of being an active member in the NNAPA since it's origin. It has been a wonderful experience in being able to see the attendance grow over the past 17 years. The Association has been very fortunate in having some admirable and dedicated people on the Board over the years. They have all done a wonderful job. The association would not be where it is today without them. Things get better every year and I look forward to the next 17 years.
