The last couple years motorcycles has took over most my hobby and free time, with the kid grown I figured why not after a thirty year absence from riding. I really missed it but just didn't feel right spending the money on a bike until recently. I been through several the last few years and finally settled on a couple I love. An ole fella taught me many things first couple years I had my license, one of them was it's OUR RESPONSIBILITY to PROMOTE GOOD HAM RADIO ETIQUETTE. There's alot of people that listen to us on the air and we do many good things for the public. Learn your radio, be aware of your location and the repeater you are using. Most radios have low, medium, and HIGH POWER adjustments, for some REDICULOUS REASON I will never understand some people try to communicate with low or medium power resulting in a scratchy, repeater dropping, horrible excuse of communicating that sounds like crap. Handy Talky's usually need HIGH POWER for everything unless you have it hooked up to an external antenna close to the repeater. Please don't embarass the ares races group by going to a shelter with a handy talky and expect to perform effective emergency communications during a hurricane unless you know how to make it work. Please stop driving around on low power talking to people with a scratchy signal. If you need help setting up dependable communications ask me, I'll help!..................... Welcome , I have some work photos, Ham Radio photos, motorcycle pic's, radio control race car stuff, and other things of possible interest for you to see. There is just not enough time to do everything so I kind of take turns at different interest's and hobby's. As you see to the left is a long list of albums and things of interest, nothing bad...... Life in Martin County Fla. is good most of the time, the weather is the best it can be. Sometimes we have minor HURRICANES, TORNADOES, HAIL, you know the usual stuff mother nature needs to disperse so she doesn't blow up, other than that no complaints. These natural disasters tend to keep us carpenters and Ham Radio operators busy. http://jerrylandrytrim.homestead.com will bring you to my business website to see what I do for a living, I'm a go anywhere do anything kind of guy I guess.
