First of all, I would like to thank you for your time. I am aware that Governor Huckabee will most likely never read this letter. However, I must be patient and continue to try to reach someone who cares about the situations that I will discuss in this letter. I have been writing letters to various government officals for over four years now. I will continue with my efforts as long as I am physically able to do so. Please, consider this letter as a serious attempt to contact Governor Huckabee.
Let me start by telling you a little about myself and my organization. My name is Andrea Kay Oliver. I am the founder and creator of Help for Parents and Children; which is a web community/support group on the internet for people who have been falsely accused of child abuse or neglect. We are a group of more than 100 members concerned with this nation’s child protective service agencies. Most of our members, including myself, have been victimized by the very system created to protect us (the government). Many children are removed from their homes everyday in this country. We do not deny that some of those children should be removed due to abuse situations in their homes. However, I can be sure that many of those children removed should have never been removed. Every state is crying that they do not have enough foster care homes; they should seriously look into the source that is causing the need for such an enormous amount of homes. Child Protective Service Agencies state that their main goal is family unification. In actuality, many agencies seldom return children to their families once they have been removed. Families are being destroyed by the thousands!
I know that you must be aware of this huge problem. I only pray that you be compelled to take some kind of action. I am enclosing a few of the stories that have been posted on my web site by it’s members. Keep in mind that these stories are written by the actual people that endured these horrible events. These stories are told as facts through the eyes of parents who had their children ripped away from them. I beg that you read each of them. These letters were extremely hard for these parents to write and I believe that they deserve to have their voices heard! Each letter has a contact name or other contact information at the end of the pages. I encourage you to contact these people.
I also have a large collection of newspaper articles on this topic that I would be glad to share with you. Furthermore, I invite you to appear on my web site and see for yourself the pain that is being caused by Child Protective Services around the United States. I am sure that your conscience would appreciate your heart felt response to each of these childless parents. I will be awaiting your timely reply, as will my group members.
