Lucky Escapee

I went on vacation and left my four hamsters (all in different cages) in the care of a good friend of mine, Nick. He made sure to feed them all regularly, and to keep my diabetic hamster Spiral in dry bedding and lots of water in the water bottle.

One night, after feeding the hamsters, he went to the kitchen to make his dinner. As he turned from the counter, a little movement caught his eye -- it was Spiral darting out from under the refrigerator! Uh-oh!

He quickly caught the happy escapee and carried her back to her cage -- past the cat! Yes, Jockster, the incredibly lazy and silly cat, let Spiral run past him without batting a whisker!
