 Message Spotlight

Sometimes, while we're reading messages, something will pop out at us.  Maybe it's an article.  Maybe it's a great idea.  Maybe it's something that changed you in some way.  Maybe it's something insightful that helped you.

It's a shame that most of these messages will sort of disappear with time.  They get pushed back further and further on the message board, then others can't benefit from them.

Our Message Spotlight is a way to make sure everyone has a chance to read those important messages.

When you find a message that really means something to you, even if it is your own message!, be sure to add it to our Spotlight.  Here is a quick tutorial on how to add to the Spotlight.

  1. While you're reading a message you want to spotlight, just go up to the address bar in the browser and highlight the address of the message.  To highlight the entire address, put the mouse cursor over the address and click.
  2. Copy the entire address.  To copy, you can either right-click with the mouse and select "Copy" or you can press Ctrl+C.
  3. Click on Spotlight Collection in the left navigation bar.
  4. Click "Add Link."
  5. To the far right of the space for "Link" you will see a little button, it kinda looks like a globe with a paper clip in front of it.  Click that button.
  6. You will get another screen, paste the address to the message in section #1.  To paste, press Ctrl+V.
  7. Write the title of the post in section #2.
  8. Click insert link.
  9. Then in the section entitled "Descriptoin," write a brief description of what the message is about.
  10. Click Add.

I'm sure everyone will benefit from being able to find those important messages again.  Happy hunting!
