Ive been posting news articles with pictures and in the back of my mind...i do wonder about copy right laws.....I found this in a Community called
All History Considered.
A few Suggestions of playing it safe from....

(1) If you want to refer to an entire article or even a significant portion of it, provide a link to the article rather than doing a cut/paste here. If an article isn't linkable, it probably is protected by copyright also.
(2) If you want to use quotes or other small excerpts from an article, always use full and proper attribution. Provide the author's full name, the name of the publication, the name of the article, the date that the article was published, and a link if possible. After you give full attribution on first reference (the first time you quote the article), then you can use just the author's last name and "said" or "according to" (ex: According to Smith, Smith said) to clarify where the info or opinions come from. This is especially important when you are quoting from more than one source.
(3) Use attribution (give credit) even when you don't use direct quotes. Even when you paraphrase material, you still should give credit for those ideas.
(4) Many times, images are more problematic than text when it comes to copyright infringement. If you add an image to your post, be sure it is both fully credited and linkable to the original source.
"Even if we all followed these guidelines, there still would be no guarantee that someone wouldn't complain about copyright infringement. But like I said, the worst they can do is threaten to take action IF you don't remove the questionable material."
But offcoarse...the choice is yours
