peonies and catchweeds my music video choices |
I sit down to watch music videos to be entertained if not entranced indeed; certainly not to have my senses jarred. So allow me this niggard selection:
1. Fatboy Slim's Weapon of Choice
( I am thoroughly bemused and entertained as well. Somewhere in a middle-aged man's heart is the longing to let loose, take wings, or just be inside oneself for one brief and grand moment before dusk falls. That's Christopher Walken, would you believe?)

2. Elton John and Alessandro Safina's Your Song
( Heavenly! So easy to fall in love with Safina - the voice, the crinkling of the nose, the grace. Besides , it's my favorite Elton John song. )

3. Diana Krall's The Look of Love
( Wanna be young again and as classy as the singer! Diana exudes a natural sexiness that is both womanly and innocent. There aren't many like that in the music world. They are either brassy sexy, or they are not sexy at all.)

4. Ricky Martin's She Bangs
( He oozes sex appeal! Never mind if he can't write his own songs; his gorgeous looks and smooth performance more than make up for that, Man! As for them - ( some males naturally!) who have taken their time to build a website solely to put Martin down, they can fry in their own green fat! This guy knows that when you're in the entertainment business - on TV, video, stage - you owe it to your audience to sound good and look good! )

5. Christina A., 'Lil Kim, Mya, Pink's Lady Marmalade
( What can I say? Sizzling!)

6. Las Ketchup's ASEREJE

( The catchy melody and the insouciant rendering of the song by these pretty senoritas get the universal vote.)
I remember my own sisters way back when we used to entertain Dad's visitors at home.

7. Tina Turner's What's Love Got To Do With It?

( Awesome! )
Get a-hold of Tina's latest vcd - ONE LAST TIME CONCERT in London. Terrific!

8. Darren Hayes' INSATIABLE
( Naughtily steamy; romantic in a way. Hayes' - and the lady's - energy and expression create just the right mood.)

9. BLUE featuring Elton John : Sorry Seems to be the Hardest Word
Real cool and smooth!
