LOVE
OVERVIEW
Love is a concept surviving through history, though radically altering it's meaning and significance from time to time and from culture to culture. love is both an experience not universally understood or shared and a romantic ideal widespread in our culture. Hence a choice among definitions of love is possible. Certainly the range of possibilities is at least as great as it seemed to the Greeks, who placed eros, or physical love, at one end of the spectrum and agape, or spiritual love, at the other. The amount of unhappiness suffered in the name of love suggest that very often people's expectations about love do not match reality.

Some Thoughts about Love
*Love takes many forms with various levels of honesty and profundity.
*Only those who posses a strong feeling of self worth can love others honestly and deeply. Feelings of inadequacy prevent individuals from opening up,as well as causing them to seek to achieve self-importance at the expense of others.
*Customs and enviroment,as well as personal inadequacy, often provide barriers to one's ability to express and to be comfortable with feelings of genuine affection.
*We are living at a time when many are recommending the elimination of old-fashioned,outmoded sex-role stereotypes, yet these persist more than we realize. Even when people openly endorse the creed of liberation, however, some are likely to be changing the way they talk, not the way they behave.

THOUGHTS ON LOVE
Love is all you have to give,
So give it freely while you live.
it is the essence of brotherhood,
And that is why it's strong and good.
Love fills in all of the spaces.
Attracting and holding together all things,
An ultimate joy to all it brings.
Love once given is never really lost,
No matter in what direction it's tossed.
Love continues down thru the ages,
And its work could fill many pages.
Love makes everything come to pass,
Whether to one, or to the mass.

Hatred is one of the three poisons of the mind. Hatred comes from greed and attachment. It is often said that love breeds hatred. When we love a person too much, our love turns into a desire to possess the other person. If this desire is not satisfied, we become filled with jealousy or hatred for the other person. Compassion is the purest form of love. Compassion is giving to others, without expecting anything in return. When love matures into compassion, there is no room for hatred to grow.

I believe that God is LOVE. We are made in the image of the Supreme and as such we are a reflection of infinite Love.
Believe in love! It is out there! If there are no miracles in your life, something is wrong!
If someone loves you then they should want your happiness! Love should be given freely. Love is not selfish. The reason for this confusion is really very simple: You do not love your dog in the same way you love your car, or love your sweetheart in the same way you love your country or you love God. One word cannot describe all these different types of love. The English language has but one word for LOVE....yet they find new names for computer parts almost every month!

Without love in the heart,
Life is like a sapless tree in a barren desert.
What good is a body perfect in outer ways,
If inwardly it is impaired by lack of love?
With love enshrined in the heart, one lives.
Without it, the body is but bone encased in skin
