| Lets take a look at Lying, Liars and False Prophets. The Watchtower Bible and Tract Society (WTS) openly states that its followers that they "are not under obligation to divulge truthful information to people who are not entitled to it" (Insight on the Scriptures Vol. 2 p. 245) Also, "for the purpose of protecting the interests of God's cause, it is proper to hide the truth from God's enemies. ...This comes under the term 'war strategy." (Watchtower 1960 June 1 p. 352) So we see that the Watchtower itself admits that Truth is optional and Witnesses are under no obligation to be truthful. It is public knowledge, and most Jehovah's Witnesses will admit that the WTS has made many prophesies that have not come true. The Bible is clear on this. Prophesies are either from God, the Flesh or Satan. Failed prophesies are clearly not from God. The WTS has opted for the second option claiming that some overly enthusiastic scholars may have been too eager to provide a favourable interpretation of scripture. But this is a lie. Lets take a look at exactly what the WTS said. For this we will look only at the WTS's own publications, The words of the WTS Governing Body and the Bible. I will focus on the famous 1925 failed prophesy:- Therefore we may confidently expect that 1925 will mark the return of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and the faithful prophets of old,... (Millions Now Living Will Never Die, page 89). The WTS promised the end of death, the end of all suffering, no more war or suffering. The prophets of old were to be visibly resurrected to rule the earth. Rutherford stated:- "No, we are not trifling: these things and more are absolutely sure, because promised by the Word of God. The world has already ended,... earth's times of restitution, its springtime, begins to count in 1926." (The Golden Age, January 19, 1921, page. 240.) The WTS were emphatic that this prophesy was the Absolute Truth "... Scripturally, scientifically, and historically, present-truth chronology is correct beyond a doubt.... Present-truth chronology is correct beyond the possibility of a doubt.... The chronology stands firm as a rock." (The Watch Tower, June 15, 1922, p. 187.) The "firm-as-a-rock" prophesy which was beyond all doubt subsequently failed. So who was responsible for this failed prophesy? The WTS stated:- "... this chronology is not of man, but of God.... the addition of more proofs removes it entirely from the realm of chance into that of proven certainty.... the chronology of present truth [is]... not of human origin." (The Watch Tower, July 1, 1922, p. 217.) So, according to the WTS, it was not man. The prophesy was from God. The WTS is very clear on where it's information comes from:- The Watchtower is not the instrument of any man or set of any of men, nor is it published according to the whims of men. No man's opinion is expressed in the Watchtower. (Watchtower 1931 November 1 page. 327) Nothing is interpreted but the interpretation comes from God and is then published. (Watchtower 1943 July 1 page. 202-203) Angels deliver what is published. (PREPARATION 1933 page. 36-37, 64) Jehovah God has made Known to his anointed ones in advance what these scriptures mean. (Watchtower 1931 June 1 page.160) The leaders are "spirit directed" (Watchtower 1988 March 1 page. 10) The leaders are "God's channel." (Watchtower 1969 January 15 page. 51; 1960 July 15 page. 439, 442) God uses and directs the WTS. (VINDICATION Book 1 1931 page. 77) Lets recap..... The Watchtower and the WTS are Gods Channel for communicating with Men. The Information in the Watchtower Magazine is NOT the opinion of any Man. It is NOT the interpretation of Man. The material in the Watchtower is directly from God and is delivered to the WTS by Angels. God ensures the WTS fully understands his interpretation thanks to his spiritual direction. Fred W. Franz (WTS Governing body and later WTS President) stated on oath in a court of Law that "Jehovah God was the editor of the Watchtower Magazine since it's inception." (New York King's County Clerk's Court Record, 1940, vol. 2, page 795:) Fred W. Franz repeated this remarkable claim in 1943. (Olin R. Moyle, v F.W.Franz, et al. Libel suit testimony, May 10th to May 27th, 1943, New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division: sections 2596 & 2597) Nathan H. Knorr, while president of the WTS, stated under oath in a court of law that "The Watch Tower is set forth directly as God's Word." (Olin R. Moyle, v F.W.Franz, et al. Libel suit testimony, May 10th to May 27th, 1943, New York Supreme Court, Appellate Division: sections 4420 & 4421) So who is to blame for the false prophesies published in the Watchtower Publications ??? Clearly the WTS say that God made these false prophesies. Did God deliver false prophesy to the WTS via Angels.???? There are only 2 options. Either God is lying or the Jehovah's Witnesses are Lying.
Ezekiel 13. contains a judgment from God on prophets who hope for a fulfillment of their words, after prophesying falsely. Verse 8, says, "Because you have spoken falsehood and seen a lie, therefore, behold, I am against you", declared the Lord God." The WTS is a proven false prophet, and according to the Bible, God, by His own decree, is against them. This is a snippet from a book that Jehovah's Witnesses would rather no one knew about. Charles T. Russell and Rutherford both believed God lived on the star Alcyone in the constellation of "The Pleiades". This doctrine was not figurative or allegory. God physically resided on Alcyone and directed the universe from that star The constellation of the Pleiades is a small one compared with others which scientific instruments disclose to the wondering eyes of man. But the greatness in size of other stars or planets is small when compared to the Pleiades in importance, because the Pleiades is the place of the eternal throne of God. (J. F. Rutherford, Reconciliation, 1928, p. 14.) ...Alcyone, the central one of the renowned Pleiadic stars. Alcyone, then, as far as science has been able to perceive, would seem to be 'the midnight throne' in which the whole system of gravitation has its seat, and from which the Almighty governs his universe. (Thy Kingdom Come (SIS vol III) 1891 (1903 edition) p. 327) Rutherford was a rude arrogant alcoholic, madder than a bag of cats, but made a massive fortune out of ignorant gullible Christians.
