HALPERIN FAMILY OF TELSIAI
The Halperins were descendants of Itzek Hirshon. To avoid conscription
in the Imperial Russian Army, sons of Jewish families often changed their surnames
such was the case for our family, the new name of Halperin being chosen.
The tree accessible by clicking below is now (May 2003) somewhat out of date and
