What does Fiddler want to do with her life? When I was six I was bound and determined to win the Nobel Prize for Literature. Now my friend and more AP English teacher thinks I'm going to win it for peace. I wonder how that came about. I would love to do everything: write, sing opera, maybe even act, travel, and certainly change the world. I think I just want to live the life that God has planned for me.

Who: The Canucks
What is that? My sister, Erica and I decided to officially form a band.
Where did you get a name like that? We're from North Dakota and everyone thinks we're Canadian! A lot of people call us Canucks and hosers and we thought Canucks wouldn't be as crude as The Hosers (hoser refers to a stupid Canadian, like Shmuck)
What do you guys do: Erica: composer, singer, guitarist, pianist, violinist
Amanda: composer, lyricist, singer, violinist
Genre: So far none would really fit. Our music is everything from the typical classical/opera to rock to folk to jazz to blues to everything except rap (and yet, you never know).
Influences: Maire Brennan, Enya, Clannad, Joni Mitchell, U2, Puccini, Mary Margaret O'Hara and probably Danny Elfman judging by one song I wrote.
Songs confirmed so far: The only one is Lux Luctis, which is a violin piece I composed.
Other unconfirmed songs: On the Beach at Michigan, There is a Darkness, Ambulances (for our dad that died) and a whole hoard of unnamed songs.
So, why? Well, Erica and I have always been into music and more than anything all types of music except pop (we even like French rap go figure) and we both compose and are musicians plus we're either in college (Erica) or going to be in college (me) and majoring in music so what I say is: why not?
Goal: Not to be famous, but make a difference. I am reminded of M2OH's Miss America as I type this.
Further updates will be posted unless we get a website or something.
