Light Emerging -the journey of personal healing-By Barbara Ann Brennan published by Bantam New Age Books. This book is wonderful. The author is a scientist and physician turned into a more spiritual healer. She heals through the energy levels of the humanbody, through means of HSP or higher sense perception. She gives many personal insights into the Aura and energy bodies in general. An excellent book I recommend it highly. Recommended by °Tålie§in‡°O§iri§1, 7/27/2000.

The Witch's CircleBy Maria K Simms published by Llewellyn. I am recommending this book to members that might wish to understand the religion of Wicca. The author is a Wiccan High Priestess and this book besides being a commentary on why she chose the Wiccan religion is basically a Book of Shawdows. It really is wonderful for understanding the people of this religion, who I find very honorable. Recommended by °Tålie§in‡°O§iri§1, 7/27/2000.

Thief in the NightBy William Sears. This book examines both biblical prophecy and historical occurence to prove, beyond any shadow of a doubt IMO, that the second coming of Christ already happened in 1844. Probably the greatest story never told. The author then goes on to clearly illustrate the teachings of Baha'u'llah and the ultimate unity of all the world's religions and peoples. It makes me very happy. Recommended by Ian , 9/15/2000.

Relativity : The Special and General Theories (A Clear Explanation That Anyone Can Understand)By Albert Einstein. Einstein himself wrote this book, so there are no mistakes. The explanations are very clear, making use of both necessary mathematics and Einstein's famous thought experiments. There is even an Appendix with simple derivations of the most important equations. If you want to understand Relativity, then learn it from the master. Recommended by Ian , 10/23/2000.

The Tao of PoohBy Benjimin Hoff. This is a great introduction to the basic premises of Taoism. I think what makes it so great is that it clearly shows how this philosophy is applicable to your daily life. That, and all the main points are illustrated through the adventures of Winnie the Pooh and the occassional Chinese parable. If you know absolutely nothing about Taoism but are interested in reading about it, this is the best place to start. Recommended by Ian , 10/23/2000.

The Grapes of WrathBy John Steinbeck. "I says, 'What's this call, this sperit?' An' I says, 'It's love. I love people so much I'm fit to bust, sometimes.' An' I says, 'Don't you loveJesus?' Well, I thought an' thought, an' finally I says, 'No, I don't know nobody name' Jesus. I know a bunch of stories, but I only love people. An' sometimes I love em' fit to bust, an' I want to make 'em happy, so I been a preachin' somepin I thought would make 'em happy.' An' then - I been talkin' a hell of a lot. Maybe you wonder about me using bad words. Well, they ain't bad to me no more. They're jus' words folks use, an' they don't mean nothing bad with 'em. Anyways, I'll tell you one more thing I thought out; an' from a preacher it's the most unreligious thing, and I can't be a preacher no more because I thought it an' I believe it... I figgered about the Holy Sperit and the Jesus road. I figgered, 'Why do we got to hang it on God or Jesus? Maybe,' I figgered, 'maybe it's all men an' all women we love; maybe that's the Holy Sperit - the human sperit - the whole shebang. Maybe all men got one big soul ever'body's a part of.' Now I sat there thinkin' it, an' all of a suddent - I knew it. I knew it so deep down that it was true, and I still know it." Recommended by Ian , 10/13/2000.

Jonathan Livingston SeagullBy Richard Bach. The singular life of all the world's great prophets allegorically illustrated through the story of a deviant seagull named Jonathan. "To begin with, you've got to understand that a seagull is an unlimited idea of freedom, an image of the Great Gull, and your whole body, from wingtip to wingtip, is nothing more than your thought itself." Recommended by Ian , 2/2/2001.

TRAIL OF TEARS -The Rise and Fall of the Cherokee Nation-By John Ehle. The title seems to explain itself, this is just a great read..... "Although the history of the Cherokee Nation has been told before, Ehle's version may be the best. He has found sources previously unused, affording human touches that enliven the narrative. Yet it is not so much the content as the telling that counts here. Ehle can be stark at times and lyrical at times, a style that suits his subject almost to perfection." --------The Los Angeles Times Recommended by °Tålie§in‡°O§iri§1, 11/12/2000.
