Hold it Together When will we lay on the dewy grass to watch the morning stars Out of this world we must pass beyond hatred, fear and war In my dreams I can only love and have no fear in my mind, to think it, to will it, to make somethig of, we're racing, we're racing in time In the massive overall our part intense and fleeting Lives like super-novas or a gentle moon releasing Can I take my own advice to avoid a sad slow death Can I kindle more joy and drink deep of lifes sweet breath written by young john '93/'94. The Gardener
An unbeleiving smile flits on your eyes when I come to you to take my leave. I have done it so often that you think I will soon return. To tell the truth I have the same doubt in my mind. For the Spring days come again time after time; the full Moon takes leave and comes on another visit, the flowers come again and blush upon their branches year after year, and it is likely that I take my leave only to come to you again. But keep the illusion awhile, do not send it away in un-gentle haste. When I say I leave you for all time, accept it as true, and let a mist of tears for one moment deepen the dark rim of your eyes. Then smile as archly as you like when I come again. When I gaze into your eyes and seek to look therein, I see your light glowing softly from within; to let me know what there is and where thy heart has been. Though rain may come and wind may blow or storm across the plain, with my love Ishall live and part not in this world again. When you gaze into my eyes and seek to look therein, you shall see my light glowing softly from within; to let you know what there is and where my heart has been. My thoughts of you are wide and deep and clear as inland sea, and know you now of my desire and faithfullness unto thee. from young john •4• |
