 GENERAL

We deal with obtaining UK Entry Clearances (Visas) for Thai nationals applying for the first time to enter the UK and people who have previously been refused a visa. Many people contact us for the re-assurance we offer plus our personal, friendly service after having had a previous encounter at the British Embassy.

The number of people who queue everyday at the British Embassy in Bangkok to try and get a visa is awesome and there is no guarantee that they will even be seen on the day. Even more so is the percentage of failures due to insufficient preparation, failure to complete the forms correctly or supply the required documentation.

Our office in Bangkok ensures that the applicants are fully prepared, that everything is in order and conducts a mock interview to ensure the applicant understands the process and this increases the chance of passing the interview, obviously all this is explained in the Thai language.

Our aim is to "gold plate" the visa application and ensure more than the minimum required documentation is provided as well as preparing the applicant for the interview to maximise the chance of success. The two most common types of visa are the Tourist Visa and the Settlement Visa.

Testimonials

Most of our customers write to us to advise us that they have now received their visa and thank us for our help.

'We got the visa issued within about 20 minutes of finishing the interview which only lasted 3 minutes. They did not want to see me! They were also very friendly to us.'

'I would just like to inform you that my wife met with Ladda on Sunday and went to the Embassy today. She walked out holding two visas. What can I say? Many, many thanks.'

'Thank you so much, remember you have been such a great help for us both. I will always remember you for your help and your friendship, maybe one day in the future we could meet up. I am just so happy you had the time and patience for me. I was worrying so much. If it was not for you I would have been lost.'

"We followed your straightforward advice and now have you to thank for having obtained the visa on the first try, after a very short and smooth meeting at the Embassy. You helped minimise surprises and were very good at holding our hands during the process. We are supremely grateful. I'd happily recommend your service to others trying to bring loved ones to the UK."

'Just a quick note to inform you that she was successful in her visa application and is now in the UK with me. There appeared to be no problems and I was not required at the interview. May I take this opportunity to thank you for your help and advice which proved invaluable in the preperation of the application.  Once again my thanks and gratitude.'

Originals of these and other testimonials from satisfied clients can be seen at our offices along with articles about us published in various media.

TOURIST VISA

A tourist visa allows the person to remain in the UK for a limited period and with no permission to work. At the end of the stay the person must leave the country. A tourist visa is very difficult to obtain for citizens of most developing countries.

The reason for this is that the applicant must show that he/she has earnt sufficient funds to pay for his/her ticket and all expenses whilst in the UK. The applicant will have to show bank statements, salary slips and tax receipts. If applicable they need a letter from their employer stating that he/she has permission to go on holiday and that he/she can return to work.

The applicant must prove to the interviewing officer the intention to return to Thailand after the visit. Therefore it is not possible for someone to just deposit a large amount of cash into a bank in order to obtain a visa. It is no longer possible to sponsor an applicant for a tourist visa to the UK and give a guarantee that they will return after their visit.

It is possible to sponsor a Thai national to visit the UK for a period of up to six months provided that you can prove that you are in a position to do so and are willing to do so. However the visa applicant must satisfy the Embassy that he/she will return to Thailand after the visit and has good reasons to return.

The sponsor in the UK cannot give a guarantee that the applicant will return and cannot be held responsible for the failure of the applicant to comply with the visa requirements.

Obviously any overstay or violation of the visa regulations will severely jeopardise any future visa application for whatever purpose.

THE SETTLEMENT VISA

Also referred to as a fiancée or marriage visa, is an entirely different type of visa. Here the emphasis is on the UK national who is sponsoring the applicant to be able to join him/her as a fiancée or husband/wife. The sponsor must prove that he/she can support and accommodate the applicant adequately.

WHY USE US?

We have many years of experience in dealing with obtaining visas and our fee is £275 Pounds Sterling for each Non-Settlement application and £435 for each Settlement application plus the charge made by the Embassy. If you are the UK based sponsor pleas make cheques should be made payable to Orchid of Siam in the UK and send them  to the address at the foot of this page. If you are intending to marry a Thai lady prior to her visa being issued and you instruct us at the time of preparing her visa forms we will supply you with the required Affirmation of Freedom to Marry (required by the Thai authorities before you can legally marry in Thailand) at no extra charge.

You do not have to have been married before the visa application can be processed.

We are very used to dealing with the bureaucracy involved and we supply all the necessary forms from the Home Office IND for our clients which we complete on your behalf. We ensure all the required documentation is in order and that it is presented on time and in the required manner. Our service consists of maintaining a detailed file for each client which we follow through to completion with advice on hand seven days a week.

Included are all our costs for overseas and local telephone calls, faxes, international registered post and incidental expenses, but not courier charges if you require the use of one.

As it may take up to three months until a visa is issued by the Embassy the use of our services to record and co-ordinate everything for you both may well be of significant importance to you both and we maintain that our fee is very reasonable for the likely time to be taken.

With over 19 years experience we offer a friendly, successful and professional service as conveniently as possible. It is not necessary to come to see us as we can deal with virtually all applications by post or E-mail although personal callers are more than welcome by appointment.

Perhaps our biggest secret of success is the information we give to the applicant on how to conduct and present themselves at the interview by conducting a mock interview, explaining the documents and procedures at each stage of the application process and providing a list of the questions they are likely to be asked at the interview in order that they are fully prepared for the visa interview.
