lessons of chance Last night I crossed the bridge again that spans not a river, but the dream of a river emptying into a sea. I saw two like silhouettes. I did not know who they were and although without feature knew they flowed from the same blood. They ran side-by-side, between outbursts of laughter and illustrious pools of water. The day before yesterday I witnessed the scene of the dawn. The first blue of morning breathing in the outline of rolling hills, reaching out to touch the forest with her sigh. I learned from this dream that things are going to happen sometimes before they happen. Sometimes they might happen later. Rarely, very rarely, they happen at the right time.
