I recently got divorced and moved from my home with a large backyard to an apartment that doesn't allow dogs. I have a VERY sweet, outgoing, energetic, beautiful male black lab to adopt to a new home. He's totally housetrained, just barely 2 years old, A.K.C. certified, loves all other animals and children. I have a 15 month old son who he is very gentle with and protects with love. He actually helped teach him how to walk! I would like to adopt a black and whits Boxer. If anyone knows of one that needs a home please let me know. I ask that he or she is good with other dogs as I like to spend time at the dog park and I have a Boston Terrier. House broken would be a plus but not necesary. Great with children is a must. I am with the Humane Society of Tuscola County located in Michigan and am currently fostering Missy, a 1 year old female Black Lab. She is a very sweet and affectionate girl who was abandoned, and although she has a prior injury to her rear leg, that does not slow her down a bit! She is excellent with small children and other dogs, she has lots of energy and love to give and would love to have lots of room to run. Her shots are current, but not yet spayed. Welcome to another Reservation Rescue: 1. Bousiu is doing fine. She will be a great dog for a very special family. You can see her on the www.pawsoflove.org Woofs from the Reservation. 2. Myra is just hanging on. She desperatly needs to have someone help her. With love and food she would be a great pet. www.pawsoflove.org Woofs from the Reservation. 3. Shea is a little puppy that was just rescued. She if friendly. Right now she is being treated for mange, worms and malnutrition. As soon as she is healthy she will be up for adoption. 4. Husky had to have her toe amputated and is in recovery. She isreceiving food. Like all huskies she is an action loving gal. A large yard with a good fence is needed and that is lacking on the Reservation. 5. Goldie the little Golden Retreiver mix that we have been talking about just received a clean bill of health for all of her parasites. They have gone byby after 4 weeks of treatment. Her pneumonia is getting better. New xrays will be taken and then we will be talking with the orthopedic surgeon about her front leg. Thank Heaven....Goldie the severly injured dog on the White Mountain Apache Reservation has been found. An AAWL (Arizona Animal & Wildlife League of the White Mountains, Inc) member located and caught her. She will be on her way to Phoenix for treatment tomorrow. A pilot from Steller Airpark will be flying up to the Reservation to pick Goldie up. She does not know it but she has a private airplane for transportation. I am a volunteer working to find homes for special needs dogs from Navajo County Arizona. We have several special needs dogs. One isMyra (www.pawsoflove.org) click on Woofs from the Reservation. She is a special Mother. Smiley just runs the Apache Reservation and begs to live. Bosiu is in foster till May and then will be out of a home. We are trying to locate Goldie who may have starved or frozen to death. He has a broken leg (healed crooked) and we have a vet who will help him if we can locate him. The dogs on the White Mountain Apache Reservation are in the worst position. They are not taken care of and are shot on site by the residents. We are working to feed them but in a rural community we do not have many that find homes or foster care. If you can help, donations, fostering, or adopting please contact us. mbs
