  • Fact Link # 3: Understanding Problem Behavior: An Interactive Tutorial. A thorough introduction to behavior, behavior management, and behavior intervention at school. Requires Shockwave (free download). Consists of eleven lessons (10-20 minutes each). Be patient, once it loads it is a great program.
  • Fact Sheet # 3a: Behavior Modification: An Introduction. A more detailed reference for behavior management with the main behavior modification techniques.
  • Fact Link # 3b: The Use of Behavior Management to Increase the Developmental Potential of Your Child. A general article on behavior management by Sheldon Wagner and Michael Weiss.
  • Fact Sheet # 3c: Dealing With Tantrums. A quickie reference for dealing with this common behavior problem.
  • Fact Link # 3d: Teaching Children Through Behavior Management (Based on the work of Ivar Lovaas). Dr. John E. Anson's (Stephen F. Austin State University) description of an ABA program - very useful, a little complicated, but wade through it for many gems you can use.
  • Fact Sheet # 3e: Dealing With Severe Self-Injurious Behavior - A brief description of self-injurious behaviors, treatments, and a parent's look at when aversives may be necessary to prevent serious physical harm.
