Cosmic Invocational Meditation

Cosmic Invocational Meditation is a form of group invocation practice in which several persons (ideally three, six, seven, or ten) pool their energies in order to bring into manifestation on the mundane plane the cosmic energies which ordinarily are far too subtle or rarified to be felt by an individual alone, save it be a high Adept. By combining our energies and our spiritual intention, it is possible to contact the potencies of the Ascended Masters (or the Secret Chiefs) and channel their blessing and healing power for the immediate group and also, and more importantly, for the community and ultimately the world as a whole. When coordinated over a wide area, in multiple locations, such group invocations can be tremendously powerful, their blessing field extending outward in ever-growing concentric circles of light and love. In times of great world conflict or turbulence, this form of invocation is especially potent for sending vibrations of peace and reconciliation through the psychic atmosphere.

Vipassana Meditation Website -

 Vipassana Meditation Website

May you all experience this ultimate truth. May all people come out of their defilements, their misery. May they enjoy real happiness, real peace, real harmony.

MAY ALL BEINGS BE HAPPY

Vipassana Meditation As Taught By S. N. Goenka and his Assistant Teachers
in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin

This is the international home page of the organizations which offer courses in Vipassana Meditation in the tradition of Sayagyi U Ba Khin as taught by S.N. Goenka and his assistant teachers.

Vipassana, which means to see things as they really are, is one of India's most ancient techniques of meditation. It was taught in India more than 2500 years ago as a universal remedy for universal ills, i.e., an Art of Living. For those who are not familiar with Vipassana Meditation, an Introduction to Vipassana by Mr. Goenka is available.

The technique of Vipassana Meditation is taught at ten-day residential courses during which participants learn the basics of the method, and practice sufficiently to experience its beneficial results.

There are no charges for the courses - not even to cover the cost of food and accommodation. All expenses are met by donations from people who, having completed a course and experienced the benefits of Vipassana, wish to give others the opportunity to also benefit.

The Art of Living: Vipassana Meditation
Everyone seeks peace and harmony, because these are what we lack in our lives. From time to time we all experience agitation, irritation, disharmony, suffering; and when one suffers from agitation, one does not keep this misery limited to oneself. One keeps distributing it to others as well. The agitation permeates the atmosphere around the miserable person. Everyone who comes into contact with him also becomes irritated, agitated. Certainly this is not the proper way to live.

 Learning Meditation Home Page

Welcome to Learning Meditation. I hesitate to use the word meditation. To me, as well as many others, the word "meditation" conjures up the picture of a bearded man sitting cross-legged in front of an entrance to a cave or high on a mountain top. Climbing the mountain and reaching him is part of the arduous journey toward self-fulfillment, self-improvement. Once we find him we ask, "What is the meaning of life?" or "How do we achieve peace in ourselves and our lives?" This all-knowing man tells us the answers are "inside ourselves" and tells us to go and contemplate. I don't know if that answer was worth the journey!

Well, I am not a wise man on a mountain. I am just like you -- involved in life and work, seeking more serenity and calm in my life. I am still learning to do it better, using meditation as a guide on my journey. I invite you to take this journey yourselves. I invite you to use meditation to find the answers to your questions.

The World Community for Christian Meditation -

In 1975 Dom John Main OSB, opened the first Christian Meditation Centre at his monastery in London. He had recovered a simple tradition of silent, contemplative prayer in the teachings of the early Christian monks, the Desert Fathers. It became clear to him that this tradition had relevance today not only for monks ... though he also saw it as a way of monastic renewal ... but for all people.

Meditation is simple and practical. It is about experience rather than theory: a way of being rather than merely a way of thinking. Indeed, because of the profound change meditation can work in one's life it is even more than a way of prayer; it is a way of life, a way of living from the deep centre of one's being.

The focus of meditation is Christocentric. This means that it is centred on the prayer of Christ which is continuously poured forth in the Holy Spirit in the depth of each human being. Deeper than all ideas of God is God himself. Deeper than imagination is the reality of God. Thus, in this way of pure prayer we leave all thoughts, words and images behind in order to set our minds on the Kingdom of God before all else. In this way we leave our egotistical self behind to die and rise to our true self in Christ.

Meditation is the missing contemplative dimension of much Christian life today. It does not exclude other types of prayer and indeed deepens one's reverence for the sacraments and one's reading of scriptures. Laurence Freeman OSB

"Be still and know that I am God"

"The wonderful beauty of prayer is
that the opening of our heart is as
natural as the opening of a flower.
To let a flower open and bloom it
is only necessary to let it be; so if
we simply are, if we become and
remain still and silent, our heart
cannot but be open, the Spirit
cannot but pour through into our
whole being. It is for this that we
have been created."

Dom John Main OSB (1926-1982)
