St. George Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church,  Cheppaud, Kerala, India                                    A small church located in a beautiful village known as "CHEPPAUD" in Alappuzha district of Kerala state in India.  It is a family church of the two prominent christian families of that village : KARIMPANACKAL & NJAPPALLIL. Founded in 1924 St. George Chruch at Cheppaud belongs to the Syrian Orthodox Church under the Patriarch of Antioch and all the East.  In India it is in Niranam diocese. Malankara Syrian Orthodox Episcopal Sunnahadhose (Synod) of which the Metropolitan of Niranam is a member  guides the here in obedience  to the Patriarch of Antioch and all the East , supreme head of the universal church.
