| Name- MacKenzie K. Hammond Age- 13 Teams- South Kenton Nittany Lions & Twenhofel Middle School Years Cheering- 8 Positions- Flyer, Front spot and Tumbler Other- Best Jumps, Best All Around Tumbler, and Best All Around Cheerleader. Why- As a dedicated cheerleader, I practice up to 10 hours a week. I have learned to express myself through cheerleading. I have been a cheerleader since the age of 4, and this is my last year with the South Kenton Nittany Lion Rec. League. Cheerleading has taught me to follow my dreams and strive for perfection! I now would like to grow up to be the first female president of the United States! I also take my passion from cheerleading and put it into other things! and honor lost loved ones in the same way. I spend some of my spare time helping inspiring cheerleaders learn the basics of this sport that I love! I realize that all cheerleaders should be considered athletes and I don't let my being a volleyball player ever consider myself NOT to be an athlete because I'm a cheerleader! Cheerleaders work just as hard if not harder to do a sport but still we get hit with the fact that people think we are just flirts in skirts, I'm trying to make that a thing of the past! | Send Yours In! | Team****Squad of the Month Name: Twisters Mascot: I don't really think we have one.. Though if we did it would of course be a Twister(Tornado) Location: Minnesota Coaches: To many to count.... Accomplishments: Well, We came out on top at our camp. We've accomplished great scores for the season even coming out on top at our "state" competition. Other: Well, we have really come together as a team this year. With Sammie having Cancer as well as myself getting hospitalized and finding out that one of our girls was in a car accident. It was a hard year for us, but we managed to pull through it. We were always there for each other, and well we've worked hard. We've always been good friends, but we also lost some of our seniors who are moving up to the college team. We started out with some new guyz, and have been working hard on our stunts. Our team would consider this a great honor. :) | Send Yours In!!! | | |
