I found Hazzy skiny, snezzing, and shoved in a tank full of males in a pet store. She was a beautiful blue girl that loved to cuddle. I brought her home and tryed to nurse her back to helth. She died about a month after I brought her home. I like to think I at least gave her 1 good month of life.

Irish came from a pet store when she was very yong. She developed Megacolon and lived with it for about 3 months before it just became too much for her. She is the black marked in the pic.

Kamikaze was My hero. He wasn't real crazy about people but he had a wonderous sense of humor, something I respect. He was the one who started it all. Kamikaze I'll miss you always. I'm one lucky woman for having known you. You're beautiful, and Kaz I promise that there wil ALWAYS be kamikaze kids in this house. All you're grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and on and on will have a happy home under my roof. Sleep tight Kaz, and don't pester the girls to much ok? love ya

Robin had a large tumor growing from her abdomen and another growing from her chest.She passed with little to no suffering in the lap of her owner. Sadly missed by all us here, she brought much joy into our lives while she was here.

She was my baby. I had always wanted a rat of my own, but never had one. My ex used to have Morgan, but had to give her up...years later, we metZhara. She was only 5 or 6 weeks old on the day that we wandered into the pet store. It was love at first sight for all three of us, and Zhara was family before she had even left the store! During the "divorce", 6 months later, I insisted that she stay with me...we had a bond. Over the next 2 years, through many friends, roomates and houses Zhara was always with me. The first day that I saw the large tumor on her right side, I cried. Through each stage of her illness, I thought it couldn't get worse, but it always did. Just as she was with me every step of the way, I was with her...she gasped her last breath in my arms. She has many humans who love and miss her...even people who "don't like rats".

Peaches had a lot of problems. She had a head tilt and she choked and sneezed all the time. I'll never stop loving her. She changed a lot of people'slives.

Ben was a beautiful husky rat, with a great temperament and a lovely personality. He loved having a cuddle and being kissed on the end of his nose. He has gone and a hole has been left in my heart, but I will never forget him.

Justin was only 1 1/2 when he died. I was thoroughly unprepared. He'd always had respiratory problems. But, his pneumonia come on quickly. Just when I thought he was getting better, he had a seizure (in my hands) and died. He left behind his buddy Nicodemus who misses him a lot, and so do I.

Star! I recived Star as a Post -Surgery Present from my cousins who breed rats. I had had cancer that previous year and thought that this would be the thing to cheer me up. Star was a beautiful, unique, and talented little girl! She would always jump on the bars of the cage when I entered the room and when my mom was typing on the computer, she'd sit on her shoulder watching her type. She became ill, and on the day of her burrial I wrote this passage for her: As we say good-bye to you today, we remember how we enjoyed your short time with u. We felt sorry we could not relive your pain, although we could only give you love. I brought us to tears to see you slip away. We hope you know how much we love you and will always remember you. In addition to this memorial, I ask you to look upon your own "little angels" as blessings to you. Rats truley are inspirational animals that brighten our raining days. To the Rat Who was the whole of my Inspiration: Star.

Dante has being a faithful loving pet to my family. I never knew that rats were so loving until we got her. After a short illness (cancer) we decided to do the best thing for her. We will surely miss our fun loving pet.   |

Cocoa was a very sweet rat. She died from cancer. She had a tumour, and she was constantly bleeding. She a was a very special rat, and i will miss her greatly. the one thing i really wish is that i could have been there when she died. my sister was instead. She will always hold a special place in my heart.  |

Chester was a little monkey of a rat. I found him at my neighborhood Petco. When I walked by,he started doing tricks, jumping, pounding on the glass, anything to get attention. His fur was soft like a mink, he had a white spot on his forehead, and big dark eyes like a hamster. When he wanted his ears scratched, he would climb on the top of his cage and look around until I got the hint. Then he would groom me back by licking and gently nipping my hands and arms. He never took anything without giving something back. His 2 best friends were BeBop (RIP) and Jamie Jo, who he loved to play and snuggle with. When BeBop died, Chester moped for 2 weeks. Now Jamie is moping. I put Chester's Roller Nest in Jamie's cage so she could be near his scent. Mr. Chester's line lives on in his son, Little Chester, who is a very affectionate, very large, and very chubby ball of fur.

I've had Starla for a while and have grown atached to her. She had 17 babies and now her babies don't have a mother, even though they are okay to be without her, it's still sad to know that their mother is gone. I am going to keep one of Starla's baby boys, just so I have something to remember her by.

He was one of our older boys. We think he died of old age because he and his brother were very active and loved to be out. It did come as a surprise because they looked like they would live longer. Well we still have his 2 other brothers, I hope they will live longer.

I went to the rattery yesterday morning to fill everyone's food dishes, and the 5 young boys were all dead  I almost felt like I'd lost a child. No idea what they died from either, they were spread over the floor of their cage, and all the other rats and young girl rats are fine. I better hope its nothing genetic... i had sold 15 boys thru my job in a pet store, and now I'm paranoid they might all die too  Rest in peace little ratties, you will always be remembered

Ben was my 'snake rescue' and my baby for the past (nearly) two years. I'm sure going to miss my sweet boy 'gentle Ben' as I'd call him. The most amazing thing is, he waited for me to come home before he died. I'm convinced of this. My one wish was that I could be holding him when he went and that was almost the case except for his last struggle for breath. He had respiratory problems that medicine didn't help and he fought a good fight until I told him it was okay to let go. *sniff* I'll always remember that he waited to say goodbye. R.I.P. my little sweetie....   |

I have had Speedy for about 3 years. His death was very hard. I got him a petwarehouse with his buddy Bob. They were sick when we got them. Speedy was tan. Bob misses him very much. He died from a tumor. His friend Bob is over 2lbs. He was the smaller of the two. I hope he is in rat heaven now.
