1-23-07 WHAT'S BEHIND CHANGE IN NEW CD TITLE?
REO Bassist Bruce Hall's current paramour is alleging Kevin Cronin told Bruce the new album should be titled the "Bruce Hall Story" because it tells the story of a "Happy Ending" after his problematic divorce. She also claims the band "altered" the title "Happy Ending" over concerns about its sexual connotation. Stay tuned....

1-10-07 REO ALBUM UPDATE
REO Speedwagon is marching forward with its new studio album. The band has chosen the acoustic-based song "I Needed To Fall" as the first single from the project, and they've been previewing the track for a few weeks now... No release date has been set for the album, which had a working title of Happy Ending, but they should be just about done with mixing the last songs and writing the liner notes, and a photo session was booked for this week.
1-09-07 BOSTON MIGHT TOUR WITH REO SPEEDWAGON
Boston leader Tom Scholz has been working on material for a new album for years - but since he has a habit of working on albums for up to eight years, nobody is expecting a release anytime soon.
However, fans will hopefully be able to see the band perform next year, as Scholz told us: "We would like to go out on the road next year and do a huge tour. We'll probably be doing a lot of the older Boston songs, you know, if we get out next year, along with the songs from this new release that I'm planning."
Earlier this year Scholz personally remixed Boston's self-titled debut from 1976 and its follow-up, 1978's Don't Look Back, for CD, greatly improving the sound. Word has it that he tour will still feature REO Speedwagon as opening act. REO will be supporting the release of their new studio album Happy Ending.

1-01-07 BONUS TO NEW REO CD!
Happy New Year, everyone! And take a deep breath!
Remember REO's October 2004 XM Radio broadcast where the band played the entire "Hi Infidelity" album live? Well, a copy of this broadcast is going to be available in a bonus "limited edition" release of the new CD, Kevin said today. He also claimed the new CD would include "enhanced video" segments featuring backstage interviews. The liner notes are now finished, but not the artwork, he said. A "making of" DVD is also in the works later this year.
Now, everyone can go back to holding their breath!
