2-28-07 REO SCRATCHES CD TITLE & COVER ART
From Kevin Cronin...
"This past Friday it hit me that the album title and the artwork, which had been chosen for the new CD, was all wrong, and needed to be rethought.... The whole upside down bird thing, and "Everyone Loves A Happy Ending", just never caught on. They didn't really represent this music and these songs well enough. It was just never quite right. So it needed to change. But we have done it. Duuhh...the title of this album was meant to be "Find Your Own Way Home," and so it will be. Too many of us were not satisfied with the dead bird/rainbow thing....So forget "Everyone Loves A Happy Ending." Forget sleeping birds and rainbows. Within the next few days the artwork for "Find Your Own Way Home" will be [revised]. We have indeed finally found our own way home...." -- Kevin Cronin
2-24-07 REO LEAD GUITARIST DAVE AMATO INJURED
Earlier this week, REO lead guitarist Dave Amato was out at the band's storage locker re-arranging equipment that was a little too heavy for him to lift by himself. He inadvertently tore a muscle in his right arm, with acute ligament injuries near his shoulder and elbow. The next day, he went to the hospital and was treated. The doctor, who also treats the LA Lakers for sports-related injuries, recommended short-term immobilization with semi-rigid synthetic cast.
Although the injury was severe, Dave managed to bypass tearing other more critical ligaments in the process. The original prognosisis was that Dave would be out of commission for at least the next 3 weeks. However, that has been revised. If he takes it easy this weekend and early next week, it appears that concerts will go on as scheduled for this Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The band will not play in the U.S. again until April 21st.
2-22-07 BAND DROPS DEAD BIRD FROM CD COVER
The band announced today that the dead bird that had been featured on the cover of their new CD was being replaced.

2-19-07 REO BASSIST BRUCE HALL NAMES NEW BABY
Bruce's new baby is set to arrive on July 22. He'll be named Timothy, after Bruce's little brother who died at age 10. If you'd like to take a sneek peak of baby items he's requesting, check out this Target website. No date yet on the wedding.
2-13-07 KEVIN INTERVIEWED ON TULSA RADIO STATION
Hey gang: Remember last September when we told you about Kevin's interview with Star 103.3 in Tulsa? The station finally got around to posting it, here. KC plays an acoustic version of the new song "I Needed to Fall" along with "Time For Me To Fly."
2-13-07 NEW ALBUM RELEASE DATE CHANGED... AGAIN
Well gang, I'm sad to report yet another delay in the release of REO's new album, "Everybody Loves A Happy Ending." It's now (hold your breath!) April 3rd. Many of you may know that the CD is being packaged with two acoustic songs that Kevin and Dave recorded for an "Artist Confidential" XM Radio special. The 3 CD/DVD set will be exclusively available at Wal-mart.
2-2-07 KC MIGHT BE WRONG ON NEW CD RELEASE DATE
Kevin is now saying the new CD will be officially released on Monday, March 26, 2007. However, I think he really means Tuesday, March 27, 2007. Why? It became an industry-wide practice to release albums on Tuesdays in the mid 1990's. Releasing a recording on Tuesday gives albums a full seven days to achieve a top chart position in the following week's Billboard Magazine, which comes out on Wednesday.
2-01-07 BRUCE HALL EXPECTING BABY BOY
No confirmation from Bruce yet, but he is reportedly engaged and expecting a son in July. Bruce will be 53 on May 4, 2007. Fans speculate that if Bruce's son gets married at the same age that his daughter did (26), Bruce will be EIGHTY.
