I had spoken with Amber Carpenter who mom works at Purdy School told her they was planning a reunion but then she don't know what happen to it looks like we are not doing the 10 year reunion hopefully maybe the 20th well I just want to know because I ask Amber about it bye bye and talk to yall later hopefully find more of you all like I did Amber Love Shantell A.K.A. To the Class of '82
|
For some time now the officers of the Purdy Alumni Associaiton have been interested in starting a 25 year reunion for each class. Could a couple of members of the Class of '82 contact all your class members and have a reunion on June 30, 2007, then attend the Alumni Meeting at the R-2 Cafeteria at 6 PM? Hello

I saw Charla (used to be Skinner) and she told be about this web site. This is a great idea. I was Helen Thomas now Holzer. I have one dauthter Sarah-married with one daughter Astrid and a grandson on the way to be named Aiden. It is great being a grandma. Stanley is married to Donna with 3 girls Candice-married with a boy named Wyatt and a girl named Lauren, Alishia now a nurse, and Becca who is still in middle school. Stanley has retired from the Marine Corps and is now working for the government. Pamela is still married to Kenny Roby. She has good and bad days. Alonzo is an over-the-road truck driver. He is still unmarried. Bill Thomas died Dec 12, 2004. June Thomas is still active in church and politics.

Bobby Gage and Cindy Stockton
|
Bobby Gage married my sister Cindy Stockton in 1975. I am proud to report they are still happily married and are running a 500 acre farm in Neosho. They have 2 daughters and a bunch of grandchildren. I introduced Bobby and Cindy when we were in the 8th grade. They are doing super. God Bless. Dale L. Stockton.

Coach Payne Retiring
|
Coach Payne will be retiring from Purdy Schools at the end of this year. We would like to invite all of you to attend a get together to honor him to be held Saturday May 7th at 7:00 p.m. in the school cafeteria. Please bring a covered dish to share with everyone. We will be compiling a momento scrapbook to give to him that night. Hey everybody! I've been gone from Purdy for a long time. I joined the United States Air Force in 1978 and went around the world. I retired from the military in 1998. Purdy Alumni Association Meeting
|
The Purdy Alumni Association will meet on Saturday, June 25, 2005 at 6 PM in the school cafeteria. The officers extend a welcome to anyone who may have attended Purdy High School. There are no dues although we take an offering to defray expenses of publishing the News Letter twice annually and providing money for scholarships. We fellowship before and after the business meeting. Add it to your calendar now! This is also an excellent time to schedule class reunions then come on to the annual meeting.
