PIW4C Mission Statement<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
This is organization was created for the sole purpose of educating injured workers on their rights and responsibilites under the Pennsylvania worker's compensation system. This organization consists of volunteers (injured workers, supporters, friends, and family members of injured workers) who devote their time and experiences to help other injured workers through the system.
The message board consists of opinions and ideas of other injured workers. We hopefully will make your experience through the current system of the Pa worker's compensation less stressful and to make you more knowledgable. We are NOT attorneys or doctors, if you need specific legal advice you must speak to an attorney or specific medical advice you need to speak to a healthcare professional. We are attempting to change the current worker's compensation to better serve the injured worker, to meet their medical needs, loss wages, and to promote a return to work program that is specifically tailored for that injured worker.
We will inform you of new developments within the system, periodical state meetings, important court decisions that may effect your benefits, rallies, legislation introduced that will effect your benefits, etc. We welcome and respect all opinions, comments, and ideas. Our main focus is to have a better and equal playing field for all involved in a work related injury or illness. Unfortunately, at this time the injured workers have very little rights and no where to turn when going through this ordeal. This board was created to allow other injured workers to know that they are not alone and their are others experiencing the same types of problems. We are here to serve all injured workers of this state as well as any injured worker across our nation.
