BAI IS A 'WORLD CHAMP' FOR THE THIRD TIME!
Just a year ago, Marcus Bai became the first Papua New Guinea Rugby League player to win the World Club Challenge crown with two clubs from different hemisphere's! In 2000 he won the World Club Challenge with Australian club Melbourne Storm with a 48-6 thrashing of English outfit St Helens, while in 2005 he became a world champion again with the Englishmen at Leeds Rhinos!
The legend has done it again, become a world club champion for the third time, and a first for a Papua New Guinean! After leaving the Leeds Rhinos and signing for local Yorkshire rivals the Bradford Bulls, who won the English Super League in 2005 defeating Leeds, he scored 2 trys in the Bulls' crushing 30-10 victory over Australasian champions Wests Tigers at Huddersfield, the birth home of Rugby League Football! It was the biggest score a British club has racked up over an Australian outfit in the World Club Challenge final!
GENIUS STANLY JOINS BAI AS A PNG WOLRD CHAMP!
Stanly Gene, who has never won a major trophy in his career became a 'world champion', just as Marcus Bai did in 2000, 2004 and 2005!
Stanly Gene, scored a well deserved try in his first competitive debut for the Bradford Bulls, which just happened to be in the World Club Challenge defeat of Aussie team Wests Tigers! Stanly has been a consistent performer over the last few years, especially during his time with Hull FC and Huddersfield Giants! He looks set to have more consistent success with the world beaters - Bradford Bulls!
The Bradford Bulls have now won the World Club Challenge on three occasions!
