JORDAN WINS THE 2005 CANADIAN NATIONAL SPECIALTY!!!
AWARD OF MERIT, SELECT #2, 2007 CANADIAN NATIONAL SPECIALTY
Jordan has been great fun to show. At the tender age of 6 months he already was Best in Sweeps at the Carolina's Bearded Collie Club Regional Specialty. By 12 months, he was major pointed in the US with a Group 2 from the classes. In Canada, he earned two Best Puppy in Groups, and three Bests of Breed and a Group 2 from the classes to finish his Canadian Championship.
At the 2004 BCCA National Specialty at only 13 months, we were thrilled and honoured when Jordan was chosen Winners Dog from the bred by exhibitor class to finish his American championship, under UK Breeder/Judge Mrs. Maureen Betts. We were doubly pleased when he also earned an Award of Merit. With that win, we also retired the National Specialty Bred by Exhibitor challenge trophy - much thanks to Jordan, and also Sawyer & Parker who all won the class in previous specialties.
We were surprised, thrilled, & flabbergasted, when Jordan won Best of Breed at the 2005 Bearded Collie Club of Canada National Specialty - one week before his second birthday. It was a great honour to win under UK Breeder/Judge Pat Jones.
Jordan has exceptional shoulder and rear angulation, super dark eyes, is very masculine with lots of bone, and floats around the ring with beautiful reach and drive. He is an easy-going, laidback kind of guy. He is very special to us, as he goes back to our two foundation bitches, Ashley & Sweet Pea. Jordan is also a tribute to his grandfathers, Freckle & Indy, whose beautiful movement have carried through another generation.
We were pleasantly surprised when Jordan produced in his first litter all four colors - black, brown, blue & fawn. That is a first for us! So far , Jordan has produced all four colors with excellent markings and super structure, and outstanding movement. His kids are making him very proud in the showring. His daughter Belle, now CH Arlin Nonesuch Belle of the Ball, was RWB & Best Puppy at the 2006 Chicagoland Regional Specialty, daughter Violet, Briery Knob Lakewood Spring Posy won Best in Sweeps 2007 National Capital Specialty weekend, daughter Lucy, Scotdale's Diamond in the Sky was Best in Sweeps at the 2007 Chicagoland Regional Specialty, daughter Noodles, now CH Scotdale's Alphabet Soup was BOS in Sweeps at the 2006 Michigan Regional Specialty, and of course there is our own Tassie!
Jordan's first three champions (Belle, Tassie & Noodles) just turned two years old, and we are very proud that all three received OFA Excellent hip scores - just like dad & grandma Vixon.
