Hello people of the cyber world. This here is my cyber rez let me call it Sauk-s rez home of the roots. My cyber rez is located on the shores of where the Gates and Allen river meet. I will call this place Yaw-whoos (means where the two rivers come together and meet). My people were relocated here during the relocation act. We lost our rezervation in the early 1900's due to the intervention of the Tarheels. The tarheels burnt down our long houses while we were on the east side of the mountians collecting berries for the winter. When our people returned they found all the belongings destroyed or in the river. In their places were different people and there homes. These people that now resided on our homes were very hostil and placed infected blankets at the edege of our emcampment and most of our people died that winter of different diseases. Befor the tarheels came to our vally there were over 10,000 members of our community. I know this to be true because I read the military notes written by the very respected General who then became governer of our fine Green State. In the notes it tells of how many native people lived in the vally.

Now our comunity is 150 enrolled members which was federally recognized in the mid 80's. We live by different means then our ancestors and we adapted to a new way of living with out casino's. Unfortonally that makes us a poor tribe. My oldest sister passed way on the 20th of July 2001 so now there are only 149 members. I think that the government should put us on the endangered species list and protect us from the skin heads ets...
