Lodge Guidelines This is a family community. Flame wars will NOT be tolerated, period. If you want to argue with someone, take it off list! The Sacred is Sacred and should remain so. If you wish to speak in general terms about a specific ceremony (i.e. I went to a sweat last night, and it was great!), that is fine, but PLEASE do NOT speak openly about how to conduct ceremony or details about what the Spiritual Leader does during ceremony on the list. If you have questions about how a ceremony is performed or whatever, please feel free to ask a trusted member of this community off list, or ask a trusted Elder. You should never pay for ceremony, that is not what it is all about. Women who are in their Moon time are prohibited from attending or participating in ceremony. Ceremony and the sacred are a direct connection to our Ancestors, and the traditional foundation of our native culture. To not honor that tradition or to change them arbitrarily is to cut off that connection with our Ancestors, and dishonor the traditions that are the foundation of our Cultures. Listed here are a few general guidelines for the lodge. Please be sure to review them occasionally, ignorance is not an excuse. FYI: We ask that you PLEASE list your email address in the membership section. There is a reason for this, it is not something that we ask lightly. We have a lot of problems with dead email addresses, or people who subscribe and then don't know how to unsubscribe. While this may not sound like such a big deal to some, it is a big hassle for the managers who handle the membership roster. We have a lot of inactive members that don't want to belong to the group, or have changed ISP's but not updated their settings here, etc. that can clog up the roster, and we try to keep it limited to who is active or at least interested. So we need a valid email address so that we do not inadvertently ban someone who wants to stay active, but gets banned anyway because we do not have any way of contacting you. So PLEASE for the sake of our sanity, post your email address so that we can track who is active and who is not. Thank you for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. The NAL mgt. team. Section A - The Sacred is Sacred and should remain so. It is not a topic for every day conversation.

"for the good of the whole" and not for the good of the one. That is what being Native is all about, ennit?
