This picture of me was taken at the Annual Thunderbird Society Thanksgiving Powwow in Columbia, Mo. 1997. Hau! (Hello!) I am Bekki White Feather-Riney, Founder/Creator of Native American Lodges Community. As Co-Manager, I am glad you came to our site. I hope you enjoy it. Here is just a little info about me! I am of Oglala Lakota (Sioux) and Scotch-Irish decent. I try to follow my ancestors ways by keeping sacred the traditions as well as honoring Mother Earth. I enjoy many cultural things, including dancing at powwows for fun and competition, creating many things including jewelry and pieces for regalia with beadwork, both on the loom and off, working with leather, and making all of my families regalia, including jewelry, clothing, mocassins, staffs, dance sticks, crowns etc. I am a committee member of the White Eagle 7th Generation Multicultural Powwow, and enjoy helping to plan the event each year. I have a very humorous side like my sister Spot, and we are both famous for starting "fry bread riots" with family and friends! Of course my interests are not all inclusive to my culture, I love doing new and exciting things, I am a family and addictions counselor, although illness prevents me from working at this time. I do volunteer at the Aids Project of Central Iowa on a weekly basis, but am no online alot so if you see me online message me! I love meeting new people. I currently reside in Des Moines, Iowa, however my home will always be the great Paha Sapa (Black Hills) on the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota.
