Erestor, Chief Advisor to Elrond
There is no real information about Erestor except that he is the Head of the Household of Elrond and his chief advisor.
He has a seat in the council and also rides in the company of Elrond when bringing Arwen to Minas Tirith to marry Aragorn.
He has to be a Noldo, because of his dark hair and his station in Elrond's house. We do not know how old he is, which family he belongs to and more.
So this is truly also a new MrMysterious Elf

Before 1697 Second Age, Erestor was a known scholar in Ost-in-Edhil.
After Sauron's attack, he fled to Rivendell with the other survivors.
He did not support the idea of destroying the Ring, and preferred instead the notion of guarding it from Sauron, perhaps with the aid of Tom Bombadil.
