Hi! My name is Madison and I live in California, USA. I was diagnosed with A.C.C. (adenoid cystic carcinoma) on 1-8-2001 and I was 8 years old at the time. January 2008 will have been 7 years since the diagnosis/removal of the tumor. All is well! I hope you find these pages helpful. My Mom and Dad will be helping me keep this site up to date with everything that is going on with my diagnosis and treatment. Madison A special note from Madison's Dad: My baby, my first born...I love her. As a father you try to protect your children from everything. Bumps and bruises can be kissed and they can be prevented with helmets and knee / elbow pads, you can tell them to watch for cars when crossing the street and to "not jump off of there!", but when your child gets a disease like cancer you feel helpless and very scared because you can't prevent it with pads or helmets or with words. The Lord helps to ease the fear, to ease the pain. Faith gets me through this. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. |
