I am honored to have had raised and reproduced our family companions, protectors and true friends.  We have improved their bloodlines and health for our future and theirs!   My Love to all my dogs, including those we had to replace or retire.  Thank you for your loyalty and allowing me a lifetime of independence to raise my children as a stay home mother!  May your bloodline and our name "Irish Eyes", continue with the same integrity, long after I am gone, through your children and mine!

  IRISH EYES KENNElS  Est 1992

We started with one male Rottweiler "Jake", although he grew into a huge and beautiful looking Rottie, his temperament was less desireable for our standards.

So this is when our Temperament testing for our new purchases bacame a must.  This is how we found our first breeding Rott, "Nikkie" a sterdy and loyal female born out of litter of 12 pups.  We now carry her bloodline (5 generations long)along with quality linebred dogs of West Germany.  Proven family companions certified Therapy Dogs and show quality dogs.

We also started 2 years after that with the German Shepherd dogs.  Our first investment was a proven already bred, female named Lutzaus Shasta Judeen.  She was bred by and sold by a local breeder Lyle and Dee Flagel.  This bloodline has been with us now for 10 years, Solid temperments & high prey drives.  We have added dogs from Czech bloodlines including law inforcement

and boarder patrol dogs.  Also have OFA certified all of our breeding Shepherds.  The hablitating disease of Hip Dysplasia is so rampid and vicious in todays GSDs we felt this would help to reassure our buyers we are serious about the health and longivity of our dogs!

We have then since added the Pembroke Welsh Corgi a very hardy and loyal breed, much like the German Shepherds, just 1/8 of their size.  These VERSITAL dogs love to work and are much easier to travel with and keep in homes than your larger herding dogs.

About us

Born from a midwestern farm family located near a small town called Grand Mound.

Raised with beef cattle and hogs on our crop land, along with a few horses (for fun) I have always enjoyed the help and companionship of my dogs.  As the boys enjoyed their hunters I prefered the Shepherd mixers and the guard dogs whoes minds were not on the birds but me instead.

I started showing dogs in 4-H as a kid and became Clinton Co Grand Champion 5 yrs in a row with a German Shepherd named "MAX".  As I grew older I drew an interest in the Rottweiler, for their fearce apperance.  When I found myself as a single mother living on a farm with 2 children and 3 dogs, I decided to make it a "Family" thing.  And thus, in short, is how I raised my now 3 children and 5+ generations of Rotties and GSD.  See our family photo for the years of trails and struggles to improve and support these beautiful breeds, and how it helped give my children the charactor and responsiblity they have learned from this dollar poor but value rich lifetime choice and commitment.
