FREE DRUG AWARENESS PROGRAM

 

at Ramage Elementary School

The purpose of the program is to educate community members about the warning signs of drug use and how to help those addicted to both prescription and illegal drugs.  The program also focuses on the prevention of drug use, how the internet is used in drug dealing, and what parents can do to ensure that their children will not turn to substance abuse.

 

Featured speakers will be Joel Raines and Jay Russell from R.A.I.D. Corps from Greenville, SC, who work with Mountain Laurel in drug use prevention.

MISSOURI FORK REUNION: I believe that August 19, 2006 should be the annual Missouri Fork Reunion. Would a member of that community please adviseus if it will be held this year. I still remember the reunion's of years ago and therefore hope that this reunion continues to thrive.

I am Public Affairs Officer for Boone Composite Squadron Civil Air Patrol. Just wanting to let everyone know that the Civil Air Patrol will be conducting a food drive for a homeless shelter in Charleston . It will be held on Saturday, December 10  from 9:00 am til 4 pm. to accept donations of can food and non-perishable items. This will be held at the squadron building at Lick Creek next to the nutrition center. All donations will be appreciated.
