On the third day after his death,
the sun was risen
Mary Magdelen, Mary the mother of James, and Salome
came to annoint Jesus.
" Who shall roll away the stone ?" they asked each other.
Looking up,they saw the stone was rolled back.
They looked inside, alas, an empty tomb!
Christ was not inside or anywhere!
They combed the area, searched him in the gloom
The Master'd disappeared into the air !
Mary ran to spread the news ," They'd taken him
away from the tomb !
Peter and others, surprised by the news
all ran towards the tomb .What did they see ?
All Jesus wrappings were there, in order,
none missing, except the Master's body !
The faithful gathered there saw strange things
and they believed. Blessed are you and I
who believe without seeing the happenings.
We hope others may believe him by and by.
Christ , the Lord is risen ! alleluia !
He saves us from sin and from destitude .
Let's sing and praise with joy , alleluia !
Our hearts emerse in hope and gratitude!
