Great Escapes ~ The Fugitives!
I've heard that Brussels Griffons have performed supernatural escapes. I can understand!
We used our usual room barricades (large hardsided suitcase and file boxes) when another griff visited this summer. She constantly surprised me. When I would go to the other end of the house, I'd turn around, and there she would be at my feet! How she'd get there so quickly and quietly is beyond me! She must have flown over the high barricade or transported herself somehow. If she'd jumped the tremendous height, surely I would have heard her land scritching, scratching on the ceramic tiles.
Once she helped my male get into the other end of the house with her. I turned around in the bathroom and there they both were . . . quietly watching as they happily smiled up at me. They loved my joyous laughter, both dancing with joy at their accomplishment. When I examined the barricade, there were no changes. Magic?
Since then I've tested my fellow. He's smarter than I'd ever given him credit for. I guess he'd never cared to try to 'escape' from the comfy living room areas prior to our guest's instigation.
Close lids:
The bathroom trash is a fun place for griffs. They love to grab tissues out of the trash and shred it all over.
The laundry hamper provides entertainment, too. They might grab clothing and either play tug with a cohort, or some have been said to even EAT the clothing. We've not had that problem.
