Voice Letter
Selected DVD and video jacket designs from around the world.
The official South Korean two-disc release. This simply stunning release comes as a triple gatefold digi pack with a textured black hardcover front designed with embossed musical notes.
(below) Official South Korean VCD release. Subtitled in English with making of Extras (not subbed)
(below) Official Singapore VCD release. Nearly identical cover art (though the eye dripping blood has been removed)) used for this Singapore VCD release. The twin picture disc VCDs are an especially attractive touch.
The official Japanese release. One disk with standard extras. Basic sleeve in a clam shell.

(Below) The official Singapore release - nice double-sided sleeve for a clear clamshell.
The Black Market Versions
(Below) The Chinese / Malay black market version of the Japanese release - note the additional Chinese characters above the title. Surprisingly, this Chinese black market version has nicer packaging than the official Japanese release. This bootleg comes with a nice slip case with a thick gatefold cover and glossy embossed VOICE lettering. Inside you get the sleeve (buyer provides their own clamshell).
Another Chinese release. Attractively packaged, this one comes with a nice top-loading slipcase and matching insert sleeve (shown below). Sold flat. NO English subtitles.
(Below) Top-loading slipcase with detachable cardboard clamshell sleeve (shown). Both slipcase and sleeve have identical artwork
NEW FIND !! (Below) Found this one on a Chinese auction site. While the DVD disc has some Chinese characters on it, the sleeve does not; only Korean lettering. But I have not seen any Korean release with this design of cover. Hmmmm? And the cover is folded down the spine- the tell tale sign of a bootleg.
(Below) Identical version to the one above except that this version comes with a gatefold slipcase - with disc tucked into the inside cover - but without a clamshell sleeve.
(Below) Two very similar Chinese black market releases, differences denoted by spine design, background color on the jacket, and inside gatefold pictures.
Both come with gatefold slipcases and insert sleeves for a clamshell. NOTE the spelling error with the word SPCIAL on the one below.
(below) This nicely assembled Chinese black market gatefold release comes with decorative inside panel and a cover and spine with the logo work in gold tone. The back of the slipcase (top left) has a snipet from a review for The Wishing Stairs (?) and funnier still, the review snipet is negative: "Wishing Stairs is wishy-washy. It flounders its fear and confuses ephemeral with evil.". Apparently the bootleggers had a problem understanding English.
(below) The Universe (HK) / Thai knockoff DVD-9 disc. Front and back has quotes from Portland Tribune and Denver Post. Subtitles in Chinese, English, Bahasa, and Thai. Sleeve with clamshell.
(Below) Another Chinese black market version. The nice glossy finished sleeve is quite professional looking, save of course the spelling error on the front. What exactly is WILESCREEN. Subtitles in English, Spanish, Malay, French, Chinese and Thai. Comes with sleeve & disc - no clamshell.
