The Fixes to Problems related to Signing In,
Posting and Chatting and with Email

(Clearing your cache and more)

For: If you are having problems posting, signing in or seeing the pictures on the pages; if you are having difficulty reading the text on some of our pages because the background appears too dark AND you have already signed into your passport; or if you are getting Java Script error messages;  you may need to take the following steps:

For All  Users

First, try Signing OUT, then back IN to your passport.
When you go to GHH, it should then say,
Welcome (your name), in the upper right hand corner.
If it does not, make sure you are using the correct
passport for GHH (for those who have more than one).

For Internet Explorer Users:
A
Clear Your Cache

Go offline.
Right click on the Internet Explorer Icon on your desktop.
Left click on Properties.
Click on Delete Temporary Internet Files.
Put a checkmark where it asks, 'Delete offline content?'
(Trust me, you will not miss these files)
Delete.
Then, click on Clear History.

This is something you should do at least once a week
to keep your computer operating at it's best.

Go back online and return to GHH.
When signing into your passport leave the
'remember me on this computer' or 'always sign me in from this computer',
UNchecked.

If you still are having problems you may also need to:

Delete Your Cookies

 If you are still unable to sign in, try deleting your cookies.  You can delete your cookies by going to Start, then Search, Files or Folders, type in Cookies, then click on the Cookie folder, go to Edit and Select All, then File and choose Delete.  Chances are it will tell you it is unable to delete one or two files, this is OK.

If you have your computer automatically sign you in, you need to Un- check that, and then sign in again.

We recommend using Internet Explorer when navigating GHH.  Netscape is not always compatible. See the link on our Homepage to download it for free.

Here's how to stop being flooded with tons of e-mail:

Sign into GHH.
  • Click on "Member Tools."- at the bottom of the Navigation Bar on the left.
  • Click on "My e-mail settings."
  • Once the new screen pops up, scroll down and click the circle in front of "on the web."
  • (This eliminates all e-mail from this community, but still allows you to read messages on the website at your leisure.)
  • Click on "Save changes" at the bottom of your screen.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    For problems connecting to Chat:
Right click START on your desktop
Click EXPLORE
Locate Windows Folder
look for Download Program file
right click on Chat Control or MSN Chat and delete
Then return to GHH, click Chat and download the Chat Control again
Also, It is important that you do not have any extra characters in your GHH Sign In name (!#@&*') or you will not be able to enter Chat.  If you do, you may edit your sign in name by going to Member Tools at the bottom of our Navigation Bar, Click My Member Profile, then change your sign in name and click Save at the bottom.
If you see
Red X's where pics should be:
Usually just clicking Reload or Refresh on your computer does the trick.  If not, it is an MSN glitch and will be corrected in time.
