Subject: TPR proceedings in Osceola County Florida.

Hello everyone. I wanted to post here because my children are in the
system and DCF jeopardize our family placements. At a point both my
parents(Rethea Kearney-863-682-0083 and my mother-in-law Debra
Devries 931-243-9342) wanted to take our(sherie and dennie heidemann)
children(Alyssa and Myranda Heidemann)until the judge felt that we
were perfect parents. But DCF called both parents and lied to them,
preventing us to move forward to allow the children go to a family
placement temporary. Now, because of DCF's lies, my mother believed
DCF over me and we have not spoken for about a year. Same story with
mother in law, but Dennie broke down and called his mom after a year
(he had not called her because we were told by DCF that she did not
want the girls) and she told us what DCF told her so now mother in
law says she will testify in court. As for my mom, she chose to
believe DCF over me, her own daughter, and I dont think I can get
over that. Granted my mom is not familiar with DCF, GAL, Judge raft
of "hell" she should have still believed in her own child.
Anyway here is my story.
My 2 girls were removed from my care December 2000 because I did not
allow a male DCF worker into my home. For the safety of my children
and myself I dont make it a practice to let strange men into my home.
This male DCF worker went back and told DCF I would not let him have
acess to my home and then the DCF male worker and a female worker
came to my home and told me that they have an order to take my
children. I told them that if the male DCF worker would have been
present with a female worker I would have let him in.(People, if you
have children, watch out for this, because if some one reports there
are problems in your home, DCF will come out to check it out and if
you are a single mom with children, DCF will target you and your
children).
April 2001, with Attorney Richard Swaine, we appear in Judge Dawsons
court room. I completed a case plan and requested reunification with
my children. On the court transcripts, Judge Dawson says, " Mom you
have done great, but the issue is not you now, but about your oldest
child, Alyssa 3 1/2. She is acting out, banging her head on the wall
and is having some problems in the foster care home. My attorney
tried to explain to Judge Dawson that my girls are having problems
emotionally because they were ripped from their mother unexpectingly
and put with strangers. I could have brought my children home and got them counseling for the trauma DCF imposed on them but Judge Dawson
ordered them to stay in foster care until DCF mental health
counselors could evaluate them.
For a year I go back and form to court to ask to be reunited with my
children. Judge Dawson refuses to let my children leave foster care
knowing I have completed my case plan.
After about a year Richard Swaine ask to be removed off the case when
I told him I am going to email the whole world, get some media
involved and tell them that Judge Dawson is keeping my children in
foster care for no reason.
Then I am assigned the second attorney John Gillespie. He, too,
fights for a year to get my children out of foster care, even
attempts to get my children placed with family until Judge Dawson
felt I am the most perfect person in this world. DCF caseworker Kay
Robinson, jeopardizes 2 family placements. My mother offered to take
my children temporary but Kay Robinson told my mom a bunch of lies.
Then my mothers says DCF's stress would be to much for her to deal
with(the same stress I have had to deal with for the past 3 years of
DCF lies, slander, and libel, pure dafamation of my character).
The Kay Robinson jeopardizes the 2nd family placement with Grandmom
#2. Only we did not know this until today 6/12/03. Kay Robinson told
me that Grandmom number 2 said she did not want to take the girls
temporary, that she barely new the girls, and that she had her own
thing going on and the girls would impose on this. This is what Kay
Robinson told me. Well I talked with Grandmom #2 today and she stated
Kay Robinson never asked her about temporary placement, but asked her
about Adoption, which Grandmom stated she would not do, because the
children want to be with their mom and dad, and mom and dad want
their children. Grandmom #2 said to Kay Robinson, that she would take
the girls temporary until mom could get them back into her care. We
asked if Grandmom #2 will testify in court on our be-half and she
said yes.
So my children have sat in foster care for 2 years for no reason.
Next, Alyssa starts to show up at my visits with ant bites, cuts,
scratches, bruises, something that looked like a burn, and then she
tells me on a tape recorder that the Foster mother hits her on the
head because she messed up in the kitchen.
So I have been taking pictures of this abuse and tape recorded my
conversations with my daughter about these foster parents. Due to her
age she may not be allowed to testify.
And also, in Judge Dawsons court, we also were notified that DCF, GAL
and Devereaux allowed Alyssa to be drugged with Clonidine, which made
her sick, during some of my visits with her.
The judge found this out, while everyone was present in court but did
not punish, DCF, GAL, or Devereaux for illegally drugging my child
without parental consent or the Judge's approval, or any kind of
court order.
Now, DCF, GAL, and Judge Dawson are moving towards TRP proceedings.
Yes, they would like to take away my parental rights.
I have completed my case plan, counseling, parenting classes( I did 2
different classes and received scores of 100), anger-management
classes(I did that on my own), kept my home clean, with lots of food,
toys, and clothes for my children, psychological evaluations, and the
Home Again Program with Ronda Dunn. I dont do drugs or alcohol and
now I am working on a degree in Political Science and hopefully will
go on to FAMU law school in Orlando. I have done great. And of course
there is one thing we cant forget about, Kay Robinson and the GAL
Lisa Calcutta made me believe that if I got a divorce from my
childrens dad(because of an argument we had in December 1999 and May
2002) it would help me get the children in my care. So I got the
divorce in June of 2002, and DCF and the GAL still stated they did
not want to give me back my children. They were shocked that I would
file for divorce to keep my children in my care. So now they know how
committed I am to getting my children home with me. THAT IS MY NUMBER
1 PRIORITY.
But DCF(Charles Thomas-DCF Attorney, Kay Robinson, caseworker) who
has fought to keep my children from day one, they never went to court
to tell the Judge that I was doing awesome and completed my
caseplan), GAL(who was suppose to protect my children from abuse
(Alyssa said the foster mom hit her on the head) , neglect(on one of
my visits Alyssa had any bites all over her legs, arms, and body-if
she had been properly supervised that should have not happened) and
illegal drugging, and Judge Dawson(who let this case drag on from
December 2000 and let my children sit in foster care for 30 months)
even though he knew in April 2001 I had substantially complied and
completed my case plan.
So what happens now. I do want everyones opinion.
IS DCF MOVING TOWARDS TPR(TAKE AWAY MY PARENTAL RIGHTS TO MY
CHILDREN) because DCF, GAL and the Judge have done to me and my
children.
IS IT BECAUSE WHEN MY CHILDREN WERE BEING ABUSED IN FOSTER CARE I
REPORTED IT TO THE 180096ABUSE LINE AND FILED A REPORT WITH THE
SHERIFFS OFFICE?
IS IT BECAUSE ALYSSA WAS ILLEGALLY DRUGGED WITH CLONIDINE TO MAKE HER
MORE COMPLIANT IN FOSTER CARE IN A HOME THAT DCF INVESTIGATOR
REALIZED WAS OVER THE STATE LIMIT FOR FOSTER CHILDREN IN ONE HOME?
IS IT BECAUSE I DID NOT GIVE UP THE FIGHT TO GET MY CHILDREN BACK
HOME?
IS IT BECAUSE DCF, GAL, AND THE JUDGE ARE SHOCKED THAT I DID
EVERYTHING THEY ASKED ME TO DO AND I DID MORE?
IS IT BECAUSE WHEN ALL THIS IS OVER AND MY CHILDREN ARE HOME, THE
FIGHT FOR JUSTICE WONT BE OVER? IS IT BECAUSE NOW THIS IS MY LIFE
LONG DREAM, TO MAKE SURE DCF AND GAL DOESNT PUT ANOTHER CHILD INTO
HARMS WAY AGAIN.
I JUST WONDER SOMETIMES WHY THIS HAPPENED TO US.
AND OF COURSE I WONDER HOW DCF CAN GET AWAY WITH THEIR LIES, DECEIT,
AND DEFAMATION OF CHARACTER-LIBEL AND SLANDER.
