Union Leader, Manchester, NH Feb 26, 1987
Former foster children favor a ban on homosexuals becoming foster parents.
The New Hampshire Association of Former Foster
Children marched and spoke to the legislators, and
won one.
Their concern was giving permission to the State of NH of placing the chickens in the fox’s den. Just how would one determine how to distinguish the difference between a regular homosexual from a pedophile?
What impact would this kind of lifestyle have on the foster child? What kind of message is he/she receiving? Two moms? Two Dads?
This is not the role model of the State; or is it? After all, aren’t the rest areas that the homosexuals frequent properties of the State?
The State has forcibly assumed the role of a parent and would this be a good one? This group of former foster children has come out in favor of Rep. Mildred Ingram’s bill to prohibit homosexuals from becoming foster parents.
The New Hampshire Chapter of the National Association of Former Foster Children was formed in 1987 and consists of about 30 members. One of its spokespersons stated that he was in foster care for 17 years and having homosexuals, as foster parents would represent another barrier for foster children to overcome.
