There are so many great places to find information about country living skills. These are some of my favorites, at the moment, plus some links to other pages on my site.
Lots of articles to teach you about self-reliant living.
Mother Earth News has a website with some articles and a forum for discussing various aspects of the country life.
My mom made me aware of Urban Rancher. A wealth of information on gardening and other skills you can develop, even if you live in town.
Jody lives on a Montana ranch, homeschools her kids and has a great messageboard-though you'll need to email her for an access code. One of my favorite places to hang out!
If you're "into" goats, check out my goat page!
What are you going to do with all of that goat's milk? How about learning to make Basic Farm Cheese?
My Northwoods Life page is also kind of short, but you can hear the song of a loon, one of my favorite birds, and my state bird. Hopefully, I'll add more as I can.
