Information for Management

the text of the US law governing free speech is as follows:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

the law refers to the government not hindering free speech
not an individual or private business
Groups are the property of Msn
Msn can decide what and what not may be 'spoken' there
Msn gives the day to day authority over posts to the manager that opens that group
hence
a manager can censor anything he/she likes as long as it conforms to Msn's code of conduct
if a member wishes to exercise their right to free speech,
they would be welcome to grab a soap box,
head down to the local government owned park
and speak as they wish
(keeping in mind that cursing is not a right...free speech notwithstanding)

There is no free speech in Groups. As the manager of a group you have the right to determine what is and what isn't allowed in your group.

It is one of the most common ploys of trouble makers to yell freedom of speech when their posts get deleted. They know what they posted was wrong and they can't argue that so they argue free speech to try and cause a big argument in your group. If you don't want it in your group, delete it. If they complain, tell them to email the managers. If they insist on pushing it on the boards, unjoin (if it's not public) or ban.
