This is an unorganized non-event. There are no fees of any kind or clubs to join.
The Yours Truly 50K is an honour system fun run first held in 1993 by David Blaikie. Runners complete a known 50K course on one of two dates and e-mail their finishing times to the Race Director who compiles the worldwide results. In 1997 Tero Toyryla, of Finland, took over the RD task.
DATE: Saturday, Jan 28, 2006
TIME: 8:30-9:00 am. Faster runners are encouraged to start later.
PLACE: Malcolm Knapp UBC Research Forest Parking Lot. DIR: Off Lougheed Hwy. Follow signs towards Golden Ears Park but go straight through on 232 to Silver Valley Road (on the right) and follow to the end.For a map of how to get there go to:

AID: None. Loop course so use your car.
RULES: This is an active research forest. No dogs, bikes, AG’s , horses or smoking. Please stay on course and do not disturb any research areas. There may be road construction and logging on the course – obey all signs.
RESTROOMS: There are two primitive outhouses at the start – none on course.
WATER: There is NO WATER at the start. BYOW.
TIMES: Please keep your own and report it to me.
COURSE: To be determined according to weather/snow conditions. It will be multi-looped between 10-25 km per loop. There will be NO COURSE MARKINGS. Maps will be provided at the start. You are strongly encouraged to run with a partner as cougars and bears have been seen on the course. Surfaces vary between HILLY gravel roads and forest single track. Expect to run on snow.
