The Guild was formed in 1977 in Charlotte, NC by a small group of eight quilters and has grown to our current membership of over two hundred and seventy five.
Each member brings to the Guild a respect of cultural traditions, the joy of sharing a common interest, and an enduring artistic desire to display in a fabric medium traditional and /or contemporary self-expression.
Unlike the colonial motive for quilting (the need for durable, warm, inexpensive bed clothes), today's quilter creates a quilt that is as multi-faceted as our modern lifestyles.
