Genesis 6. 13
God was unhappy about the people on the earth and instructed Noah to make an arc from gopher wood, and make rooms then to cover it with pitch. God gave Noah the measurements on how he should make it, and said when completed to fill it with two of every living creature male and female. Noah did this.
Then when it was completed God said to Noah you go in with your family as I will send a lot of rain to make a great flood to cover the earth. But all of you in the arc will be safe.
The rain fell for forty days and forty nights and the waters covered the earth and every living thing perished, except those in the arc. Then God stopped the rain and sent the wind to dry up the land. Noah sent a ravan, but it came back as their was no land. Then later he sent a dove but that came back also. Noah waited seven day and then sent another dove and it came back with an olive leaf in its beak, so Noah knew their was land.
When they found land, they all left the arc to build homes to live and were fruitful in their lives. Then God sent his rainbow as a covenant to every living thing on earth. As long as the rainbow appears all is well on earth.
